Not your usual historic walk with a lot of historic info, but a very personal informal walk and talk about how Ilya discovered the cooperatives, shops, artisans, restaurants, places to visit (eg fish market, coffee lounges ;-), etc. as a foreigner in a new country. Especially moving was the info of a Womens Cooperative where some women in the mountain regions who supplied the shop in Essaouira had lost their lives during an earthquake several years ago. I will say no more - you need to go on this walk to hear more first hand!

This was the best walking tour I’ve done. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe. The other people cancelled so it was just Ilya and me, which was perfect. This changed my whole trip and gave me more ideas of what to do during my visit. I can’t recommend it enough.

It was a really nice experience and lots of new facts that we didn’t know about Essaouira. The tour was relaxed and nice, we had an amazing chance to ask the questions about city history and also about life of local people. The best thing was that we were shown a few really hidden places that most likely could miss without a guide
