Julia

Hello! My name is Julia and I have been working as a guide for the last 4 years, but before that, together with my friends, we founded Foodbank in Russia. It was a really nice experience helping all the people in need. Now I continue to participate in non-commercial events. Sometimes my tourists call me "mom" maybe because I worry too much about everything and I like to take care of everyone. So if you have small children or can't walk a lot, there is no problem with me, I am a very flexible person. I live in a truly Soviet apartment and I love to cook, if you want you can be my guest and I can cook for you, that will give you a deeper idea of local Russian life, as well as Red Square and the surroundings. I am also a writer and dream of finishing my book one day. I especially love to travel around Russia as this country is really the largest in the world, and I changed places many times, from Siberia to St. Petersburg for it, I can make the best impression on you in the "non-tourist" season. I love English even though when I was 12 it was the worst in my class, but then I got a teacher who got something from me and made me love this language. When I finished my school I already had a Cambridge University certification with an advanced level. This, along with my other passion which is history, one day I realized that I needed to become a tour guide, and it was the best decision of my life. Fun Facts About Me: 1. I was a ballet dancer for 8 years (I hated classical music with all my heart, but now I love opera) 2. I love basketball and in school I played for the best team in my city (also swimming and climbing, I was a really crazy girl) 3. I am in love with pastry and this is easy to see in me: D 4. I changed 15 apartments in my life and none of them had a good oven! 5. I love running and walking a lot, once I walked 30 miles and it was my absolute record. I can't wait to see you here and show you around the city!
