I was born and raised in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Over the course of over 40 years, I have experienced the many changes which have occurred in my country. I grew up in Yugoslavia. I came of age during its violent dissolution during the wars of the 1990s and fought for my country. I have witnessed and felt the changes that followed the country's early years of independence. One thing that has not changed is my love for Mostar - the people, place, and culture.
I channeled this love, knowledge, and experience into the development of Sheva Walking Tours. Our tours are immersive and engaging, with the goal of not just presenting our past, but explaining the present from a local perspective and with the hope of dispelling the misconceptions associated with Mostar and the greater Balkan region.
Sheva Walking Tours is a small but growing team of passionate guides who are looking forward to sharing our hometown - past and present - with you. While we offer a range of private tours, our Free Walking Tour of Mostar is our most popular walking tour of Mostar. Currently, four local guides - Sevko, Haris, Mirjana, and Arnela - are leading Sheva's Free Walking Tours of Mostar with another team member working behind the scenes! We are dedicated to providing memorable and meaningful experiences that are accessible and welcome to all visitors, regardless of budget or background. Walk with us for an insiders perspective of Mostar!
Extremely good tour! Arnala the guide is just so nice. She’s a local so shared not only information about the city but about her own experience during the war here. I learnt so much and some of the information hit really hard- would absolutely recommend!
Myself & my partner both enjoyed this tour with Sheeva. He has extensive historical knowledge/passion about his city. He also gave good local information as well as personal life experiences. When the tour ended he gave everyone his business card to contact him if we needed anything at all & also reccomended local restaurants for food. Great way to find your feet in Mostar.
Arnela was an informative and passionate guide. Because of Mostar’s war history, it’s terrible suffering, it wasn’t a ‘jolly’ tour. But that was good. It was moving to hear of the town from someone who’d been through the tough times. Highly recommended.
Arnela is a really good guide who clearly enjoys showing her city to other people! There was room for questions and the places we visited were very interesting. I can only recommend it!
