Darius provided a fascinating insight into the political history of Zambia and showed me parts of Lusaka that I never would have seen otherwise. The tour can be adapted based on what you really want to see and know - it’s pretty casual and unstructured. I recommend asking lots of questions and asking Darius to take you to the places you’re interested in to really get the most out of the tour. Highly recommend going as far as the market. Wear comfy shoes and prepare for lots of walking.

Darius was great! Super friendly, easy to talk to, and since it was just me and him on the tour, we were able to trade a lot of cultural information. We hit the most important spots of central Lusaka fairly quickly, which helped me orient myself over the next week of work in the city.

Darius’s tour is a must-do when visiting Lusaka! Even on a 1-to-1 basis, the tour gave a great welcome to Zambia and was packed with useful information. Lusaka does not have a lot of touristy things to do. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the walking tour with Darius. He is very knowledgeable about the city and I learned a lot about the history of Zambia on our walk. He even agreed to us taking a detour to Soweto Market. The walk is long so please do wear some comfortable shoes.

Darius was fantastic and did his very best and is very very nice. Truth is Lusaka does not have huge points of touristic interest but it was very worth doing as it showed that the beautiful safaris in Zambia is not necessarily reflective of what is happening in the city centre. The point that Darius made however is that there are not many if any Zambians refugees.. the people are happy.. thank you Darius.. I would certainly recommend him if you wish to see the true Lusaka. Cheers
