Hello Guruwalkers, I'm Ismail, Guru of Marrakesh city and its suburbs , I m a Hotel Management Student. I love everything that has something to do with travelling, meeting new people from all parts of the world, discovering new places and learning about new cultures . I have travelled to many of moroccan cities and to the Sahara desert . I was born and raised in Marrakesh, which sculptured the history of the city in my brain. For the moment, I live about 30 minutes out of the city, which offers me the chance to discover new amazing places that many people don't know. Marrakesh has it's unique magic, with it's breathtaking views , market's and historical monuments.
Only a few miles away and accessible from Marrakech via the Amizmiz road, Lalla Takerkoust lake owes its name to the local patron saint. At the foot of the Atlas mountain, this artificial stretch of water appeared a century ago due the construction of a dam. Inhabitants of Marrakech love to go there and enjoy a cool day, away from the ebullient Red City.
Enjoy moments of peace and quiet and take a dip in the lake. The place also offers a unique landscape for a convivial picnic. For those who love to bask in the sun, the lakeshores are very welcoming. Sports enthusiasts will be able to practice paddle boat, paragliding, quad riding and Camel riding
