Hello travelers and art lovers! I am Carmen Ibarra, professional painter, I studied Fine Arts in Valencia (UPV) and Belgium (La Cambre) and I did postgraduate studies in Mexico (UNAM), also my work has received prestigious awards such as the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos and I have made numerous exhibitions in different countries. I also work as an art teacher. I love traveling, I have traveled to most countries in Europe and I know something about Asia, Africa and Latin America. I love meeting people from other cultures and countries and I think that with guruwalk it is a good way to do it, besides being able to share my knowledge in art. See you soon! Carmen
We will meet at the door of the botanical garden. There I will be waiting for you to start a small walk where you can learn the history and anecdotes of such an emblematic place as the botanical garden of the city of Valencia. Then we will go to observe the park in a pictorial way, starting to think about what is going to be painted, we will observe the forms, the light, the perspective, the landscape in short. We will look for a pleasant location, probably sitting on the edge of a fountain painting some water lilies or on a bench of the road, drawing a perspective. The painter will distribute the material for the activity, make a small demonstration of how to handle the material, watercolors and paper and finally we will spend a little time painting and drawing whatever we want.
