Hi, I'm Maya! I moved to Amman when I was 7 years old, when my parents decided to return from Spain to Jordan. Now that I am 27 years old, I can say that I have found my true passion in archeology and tourism, and that is why I want to be your guru in this mystical city. I love learning languages, I speak Arabic, English, Spanish and German; and there is nothing that I like the most, than good Arabic food while having an interesting conversation and listening to the Arab lute. Yalla, let's walk through Amman with GuruWalk!

Tour description

If you ask me how to describe Amman, I would say that it is a fascinating multicultural city where the old and modern has blended. Do you want to know what to see in Amman? I'm going to show you everything in this Free Walking Tour ;)

We will start our tour with the Amman Citadel, a place of Roman and Umayyad ruins dating more than 7000 years old, here you can take the best pictures of Amman, since it is considered the best viewpoint of the city.

We will walk through the Temple of Hercules, yes ... here are the remains of the huge stone hand. We will pass through the Archaeological Museum of Jordan, and you will be surprised with very interesting archaeological facts that I am going to tell you. We will go to the Roman Theater of Amman, did you know that it has a capacity for 6000 people? That, and more you will see!

We will return together to Downtown Amman, and we will get a “bit lost” between the old and modern contrast of this side. We will walk to Rainbow Street, a street very famous for its modern and lively atmosphere, and here I will give you tips on the best restaurant to eat in Amman. To finish, we will go to the Blue Mosque or the Mosque of King Abdullah I, considered the symbol of the city and if you wish, once we say goodbye, you can enter to witness the treasures of this wonderful place.
