Exploring our culture is knowing our soul! This adventure will lead us to explore the old neighborhoods like Alfama and Mouraria, and some secret and important places in Baixa Chiado, in terms of the Portuguese roots in Lisbon. Since the beginning, until the end of our walk, our purpose is to transform you into a Lisbon local, we will share everything that we know about the history, culture, and art for you to feel the real spirit of the city. From Mouraria to Alfama you will walk through a lot of narrow streets with hundreds of years of history in a relaxed and funny way. You will learn about Fado music and you will see where it started, you will see people doing barbecues on the streets, amazing tributes to honor the elderly people in Lisbon, breathtaking viewpoints, unique examples of Moorish architecture and drink our famous Lisbon liquor Ginjinha! "With or without?" The tavern owner will ask you...we will tell you the answer later!:). It will be a day to reveal all of our secrets, so be prepared! Sounds perfect, isn't it, don't think twice! We will meet at Praça Dom Pedro IV near to the central statue in the middle of the square, it’s only at 20 meters distance from Rossio subway station. Look for the green umbrella with our name.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
