The founder of Marrakech WITH Locals, Ismail Hamzaoui, is from Marrakech, a licensed tour guide and host in Marrakech for guests aiming at exploring my city. I worked before in the Moroccan Pavillion in Epcot Center in Walt Disney World as a cultural representative for Morocco. I came back to Morocco in 2010 and started another adventure of guiding service. I can guide you and show you my city’s hidden spots, people, history, culture, touristic sights and local life. Join Marrakech WITH Locals on this old city cultural, historical and touristic sightseeing tour. It is about exploring the secrets of the old city, best sights and local life in the fourth-largest city of Morocco. We will be walking inside and through the Medina's narrow alleyways and landmarks such as Koutoubia Mosque, Medina labyrinths, Jamaa Elfna Square, etc.
Go on this cultural journey exploring through the streets of Marrakech to the 12th century Koutoubia Mosque. Its height (67m tall) makes of the Mosque’ minaret a landmark for navigating the city. The mosque’s interior is not open to tourists, but you can still take a walk in its garden. As you walk around it, you will learn from much about its history and the 5 pillars of Islam, along with other religious matters. From here, we head and continue our exploring adventure by getting deep into the maze and labyrinths of Marrakech Medina. We will touch together the beauty and the colors of the horseshoe arches, Riads doors, fountains and much more!
During the tour, we will get close as well to Morocco in terms of many issues such as the variety of cultures, people, languages, traditions, economy, political system and other topics. Such topics would enrich our walking and make it more enjoyable!
Carry out with your historical and cultural journey through the labyrinthine Medina narrow alleyways, until we reach a Hammam. We touch such crucial public place for locals. Continuing our tour we arrive the Jemae Elfna square. Reaching Jamaa Elfna Square, the World Heritage site for culture as UNESCO named it. The lopsided square is the main stage for Moroccan Halqa (the art of storytelling), jugglers, snake charmers, pop musicians and tens of chefs stir vats of steaming snails!

The meeting point will be L'Adresse Cafe & Restaurant in the Square of Jemaa El Fna. L'Adresse Cafe & Restaurant is straight ahead in front of the poste office in the Square of Jemaa El Fna. It is behind the police station. Note please that there's another L'Adresse Cafe & restaurant in Gueliz Neighborhood in the new town. We meet in the one in the Square of Jemaa AlFna in the Medina ( old city)
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
