Hello! My name is Alex. I have an MBA in Tourism from a European university and I give talks at universities and institutes about tourism. I worked in a German travel agency for 20 years. I will take you through the paths and stories of this wonderful city. I have lived before in Weiden, Munich, Caracas, Havana, Panama City, La Paz and Mexico City. I have lived in Valparaíso since 2016. The tour begins at the Prat dock to observe the port dynamics, of what was the main port in Chile. Don't miss our old photos! From this place we will move to Plaza Sotomayor where the origin of the buildings and the monument will be explained, making reference to the related historical facts. Then we will head towards the Plaza de la Justicia, we will see part of the financial street and we will cross to take the elevator. The traveler can get a panoramic view of the city and the hills using this unique transportation. We will walk through Cerro Concepción and Cerro Alegre, places where you can see the French, Italian, Croatian, German, English heritage among other nationalities. Visiting ancient places located among the narrow streets will immerse you in the cultural atmosphere of a bohemian city. You will enjoy artisans, muralism, colonial houses and interventions in public spaces that demonstrate the will to maintain tradition and rescue local cultural values. The restaurants, cafes, art galleries, shops and artisans will allow you to take home a pleasant memory of a charming city.

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
