Hello! I am a 32 year old young man, a journalist, with two children, and I would be delighted to be your guide through the most beautiful places in Riobamba and Cuenca. This will be an opportunity to meet and share our travel stories, as well as to show you the beauty of these cities. I wait for you!
In this free walking tour of Cuenca we will begin by knowing its museums, among which are the Crespo Toral Remigio Museum, which has more than 18,000 archaeological pieces and about 700 pieces of colonial art, as well as a collection of documents and objects of historical importance over the city. We will go to the museum of popular arts, where we will get more than 7 collection pieces from different South American countries. The straw Toquilla hat is one of the most used accessories by the Cuencans and also has its own museum, which we will visit to know its origins, the materials for its manufacture and its manufacturing process. In addition we will know its historical center and we will walk along its Long Street, which throughout history has received different names, being its first name Calle del Usno, during the pre-Hispanic times. By walking on its streets, we will find more than one hundred stores divided into museums, nightclubs, restaurants and coffee shops that make it one of the busiest places both at day and night. Finally you will be able to enjoy one of its typical meals. Note: The fee of the museum tickets is not included in the free tour.
