Hello! My name is Ferney Caro and I am very happy been a tour guide here in Comuna 13. I grew up here, so that's why I know it really well, and I have been a tour guide for two years. I like to play the guitar, to read a lot about history, to watch the news and series, to focus on customer service and to research about the culture of this place. It is amazing to have the opportunity to give tours in my own city sharing our history with people from all around the world. We offer the most rewarding and amazing experience in the city, lately known as a lovely, harmonious and beautiful place to keep exploring and enjoying as well.
Through this tour, you will discover a renaissance of a barrio with a rich and exciting history of graffiti and more... Also the history of the neighborhood, its hip-hop, its gastronomy, and its good vibe.
This Journey will show you the traditions, the memory of our elders, and how the people have tackled the gangs and the violence through the state investment, the entrepreneurship, the street art and the solidarity.
We are going to do 10 stops:
1. Context about the neighborhood and the city history
2. Chota´s graffiti
3. Perrograff graffiti
4. Snitcher picture and Hector Abad Colorado story
5. Black and White Brake Dance Show.
6. Features of Medellin and Geographical description
7. Memory Wall
8. Visit to the Outdoor Scalators
9. Chota´s Galllery
10. Consuelo's home for mango ice cream.
Includes: One-way Tickect bus and a Home Made Mango Ice Cream.
