Hi! I am a Canadian expat living in the Hague with an extreme passion for American History. My main goal is that guests have the most fun possible on my tours, and to really have a unique experience that is deeper than the normal "point at a building and explain how old it is" type of tour. I deeply care about the history and I want you too as well!
Join me on a historical tour of Leiden showcasing Founding Father John Adams ́ mission to the Netherlands during the American Revolution, to try to save his country.
John Adams' time in the Netherlands is one of the most significant and forgotten about chapters of the war. Leiden was undoubtedly his favorite city as his sons studied here and his dearest friends and allies lived here.
Join me on a stroll through the Leiden of 1780 and discover the places Adams stayed, his place of worship, his sons' residence and the houses of his dearest friends and allies. We will also learn about his connection to the Pilgrim fathers and other major sites in Leiden!

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
