Tour description

On this tour you will learn much of the history of Madrid from the Muslim origins of the town in the High Middle Ages to the period of greatest splendor of the reign of the Habsburgs and the Bourbons.

Starting in Plaza de Isabel II or Plaza de la Ópera and, after a brief historical introduction to the capital, we will visit the most beautiful and traditional squares of historic Madrid, such as Plaza de Oriente, Plaza de la Villa, Plaza Mayor or the Sun Gate.

Along the route we will also contemplate different churches of medieval origin, as well as other temples of later centuries of baroque style, such as the Church of San Nicolás, the Church of the Sacramento or the Pontifical Basilica of San Miguel.

We will also stop in front of a good number of palaces and stately homes that are found in the different streets and squares of Madrid de los Austrias, such as the Palacio de Uceda, the Casa de la Villa or the Palacio de Santa Cruz, as well as in front of some representative buildings of the Bourbon era, such as the imposing Royal Palace.

Do not think about it anymore. I wait for you!
