Tour description

Do you know the Madrid of the Felipes? Do you know who they were and what they did in this city? We will discover anecdotes and curiosities of this stage of the Austrias in which I will tell you the history and the most hidden buildings and squares where the most traditional Madrid was created. The tour begins in one of the most emblematic places of the so-called "Madrid de los Austrias", the Plaza Mayor, we will continue through the Market of San Miguel and Cava of the same name, where we will discover the most traditional restaurants and even the oldest in the world ! We will enter through the Plaza del Conde de Barajas, Plaza del Conde de Miranda, El Codo Street until we reach Plaza de la Villa. From there we will pass through the main street, Plaza Ramales (which houses an interesting history) and end with the views of the Almudena, the Royal Palace to end in the equestrian statue of Felipe IV. Do you know that there is a stamped statue near the Plaza Mayor? Did you know that in Madrid we have our particular Robin Hood? Do you know the history of the perennial bouquet? MAD Tours teaches you!
