I am a professor in History and researcher. Lover of the beautiful history of the city and the Patagonian region. I love to travel and travel the world, beyond leisure and fun I always maintain that traveling is also a learning space of this world so different and so beautiful. This tour seeks to show how rich and ancient the history of the Patagonian area began thousands of centuries ago, full of mysteries and legends that will make you wonder.
This tour will get you into all the secrets and legends that the historic city of Puerto Madryn keeps. Our tour will be divided into three parts taking into account the different epochs that we will talk about starting at the Tehuelche Indian monument and ending at the bus station in the city. In our first part we will move several centuries ago to learn about the ways of life and custom that have characterized the Mapuche-Tehuelche populations that have inhabited the Patagonian soil until the arrival in the second half of the 19th century of the Welsh settlers, another of the main actors in the history of Madrid. Mysteries as the origin of the term "Patagonian", as was the relationship established in the area between the native populations and the Welsh and where they inhabited the latter will be addressed in our first part of the tour. In the second part of our meeting we will focus on a more contemporary era to the present more precisely the twentieth century in Patagonia in which the history of the wreckage of the ship that moved the remains of Gral. San Martín as well as the history are highlighted Hidden of the Public Limited Company (One of the main supermarket chains in Patagonia) and its founder Jose Menendez, a true "Tsar" in the Patagonia of the twentieth century. Finally we will end this tour talking about the nineteenth century in the city of Madrid. We will tour the house of Baron de Madryn, now converted into a museum, finishing our tour in the remains of the railroad tracks near the bus terminal, a fundamental vehicle for the lower Valley area for a long time.
