Hello everyone! My name is Diana and I am a licensed tour guide, born in Transylvania, with a BA English and French degree. I have been working as a full-time tour guide since 2017 and providing free walking tours since 2019. I am a real local guide, living in Brasov for over 20 years ๐ท๐ด I am a real local guide, it is me who designed this tour and it will be always me having the walking tours with you. as I am self-employed, I do not work for travel companies, You, my guests, are the only boss I have :) I I love my job and my guests' satisfaction is the greatest reward I can get. I have in depth knowledge of the local history and culture and I am eager to share with you everything you need to know. With me you will explore the city like a local, getting off the tourist-beaten tracks but without missing the main attractions, thus saving precious time and energy. Join me in a unique walking tour outside Brasov German Citadel, specially designed for you to feel and explore the picturesque Old Romanian neighbourhood where the Romanians have been living for centuries.
Let's have a walk together in this quiet,ย less known area of Brasov with a more rural appearance, many small houses, narrow streets and green gardens, just at the foot of Tรขmpa mountain.
You will find out the history of "Troiศe", crosses, testimonies of the Orthodox tradition of Braศov and about the very old tradition of "Juni", the Youth of Braศov and their horse parade, unique in Romania, some of the most important symbols of this old Romanian settlement.
We shall see about 8 *troiศe* during our tour, dating from XVIIth- XVIII th century, erected in stone or wood at the foot of the mountain, in front of houses or at crossroads, by locals or by "Juni".
I shall not reveal their names and the places where they are located as it is a protected area andย because I want to keep this charming area away from mass tourism.
