Wandering around the beautiful gems of Vilnius -Free Walking Tour

I am a native German speaker based in the beautiful capital of Lithuania. I was lucky enough to travel from early childhood all around Europe. Exploring different countries from such a young age just led to a growing travel bug and once I was older I decided to wander around more. Once you start, you don’t really stop going to see places, do you? After living in Finland and Australia my path led me to Vilnius where I am living since 2017. I am a certified tour guide.

Tour description

During the tour we will visit famous and hidden places in Vilnius. There are lots of secrets to discover and treasures to find. Do not be scared that I will bore you with too many historical facts and year dates. Above all, I want to give you a deeper insight into the way of life of the local people, what moves them and what concerns them. I will not only take you to the beautiful old town but also will show you green parts of the city: - The Gates of Dawn, the only remaining city gate. - The Town Hall Square and Vilnius Town Hall. - The former Jewish quarter and ghettos. - Literatai Street that is dedicated to literary figures. - Hidden yards, paths and beautiful churches. - The self-proclaimed “Republic” of Užupis. - Vilnius University. - The Presidential Palace . - Cathedral Square, the most important place in the city. - Gediminas Hill or Hill of Three Crosses for a beautiful panorama.
