Living like a Toulousian

Duration: 3h
Languages: English
Guru: Prady
Registered on February 04, 2020

Hey guys, Prady here. I am 23 and currently studying management in TSM. I have lived in France (Toulouse), China (Wuhan), Germany (Berlin), Indonesia (Palembang), Taiwan (Taichung), India (Chennai) which makes me really prosocial. I have also traveled through hitchiking, couchsurfing hence I really wanna help people get an authentic experience of Toulouse. Since traveling is about people, places and price I wanna help you connect with the people here, show the places where Toulousians go frequently and save the trouble with finances. I have a travel blog if you wanna read :D I love talking to random people in the street or in parks and I promise you we will do it :)

Tour description

Usual tours take a more historical look at cities but I wanna focus more on the beautiful views that the city has to offer along with interaction with French people. Ever found yourself walking alone in a new city wanting to meet people but finding hard to do this? Well I have felt this many times during my travels. Through this tour I wanna help you make friends to travel with and also show you the hidden places. Of course we shall visit the monuments on the way but the purpose of this walk is to do things that the people living in Toulouse do. (Never met a person who visits the monuments in Toulouse every weekend :D) 1. Place du Capitole 2. Couvent de Jacobins 3. Parking Carmes (We can see a lovely view of Toulouse) 4. Observatoire de Pech David (My favourite view of Toulouse) We shall play petanque there at Pech David with the random French people we meet there. Time wise - We walk from Place Saint Pierre -> Place du Capitole -> Couvent de Jacobins -> Parking Carmes (1h 15mins) Then we take the metro from Carmes -> University Paul Sabatier and take a lovely walk to Pech David (45 mins) Play petanque and enjoy the view there (1h) Petanque is basically a French game to be played outdoors super fun! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSzQd0-g6so this will help :) There are so many more places I would like to show you guys in Toulouse but fitting it within a day is hard however we can always do something afterwards. I really wanna make you feel like you have experienced the French life :) What to bring? A masque, a metro ticket (we can buy it later), a water bottle and a smile :)

It was super fun! Prady is really open about the idea of a free tour. He didn't accept any money and took me to some nice spots near the city center. We hung out with his friends and played petanque by the river.

I really enjoyed Prady’s tour of Toulouse. Prady is a very chilled out open minded person who was very welcoming and easy to get along with. When I arrived for the tour he introduced me to two of his friends who joined us on our wanderings around Toulouse. This was a lovely way to explore the city of Toulouse from people who are living in the city and get useful information on the different areas and hang out spots of the city. I really enjoyed his tour and would recommend it for anyone interested in getting an insider perspective on the city of Toulouse.
