🇦🇹Free Tour Vienna, in Small Groups

A beautiful sunny weekend in Vienna, getting to know the city for the first time, and Jan's fantastic 2 hour tour really helped set the scene and push curiosity. The 'Free walking tour' concept is such a great way to build up a little bit of a base knowledge of a city's feeling from its history being explained in the place it actually happened. The confidence required to provide an experience with this model is definitely reflected back to the traveller who chooses to undertake it. You get consistently committed guides, that are motivated to paint a picture through their dedication to understanding the places that they live in. It's an opportunity that travellers on different types of budget can take advantage of, backpacker to luxury, and grow from the same experience, but apply a bit of lakshmi attitude of pay what you can versus your budget. There's a difference between being on the road for a year, and being on a quick city break. Easy instructions are provided for a smooth meeting at a central location. Jan, our guide, brought the city centre's past to life as soon as the tour started. Regaling us with interesting historical recounts and curiosities. He was attentive to ensure the entire group was engaged and everybody was comfortable with the climatic ambience. Jan delivered a good amount of information throughout the walk, it felt like a really great balance for a group of varying knowledge of the city, and it was delivered with a passion for his subject matter. Would highly recommend this tour as a starting point to discovering Vienna. Good man, Jan.
