We will begin the visit by seeing the remains of the ancient Roman wall and entering the famous Portal del Roser.
Did you know that the historic center of Tarragona sits on the acropolis of the classical city? The Cathedral of Santa Tecla can be located on a time to Augustus. It is a true example of Catalan Gothic!
During our tour we will be able to notice the remains of the provincial forum and the circus from Roman times , but also the temples, hospitals and houses of medieval origin.
We know little about the Muslim presence in the city, but remains of the Jewish quarter are preserved.
After walking next to the Torre del Praetorio we will leave the walled enclosure and arrive at the Mediterranean Balcony . A place to take some beautiful photos by the sea!
We will finish the route visiting the Roman amphitheatre, where gladiator fights and public executions were held.
