(*) THE ART OF GUIDING PROFESSIONALISM, EXPERIENCE, EXCELLENCE AND HISTORICAL RIGOR. Bilbao Free Tour Experience is a project that was born as a response to the crisis caused in the tourism sector by the pandemic as a result of the collaboration of several professionals. Their team is not made up of amateurs or students, but rather PROFESSIONAL TOUR GUIDES, the first to bring the free tour model (reverse box office / free donation) to Bilbao, a once-exclusive service. Our work environment covers the entire Autonomous Community of the Basque Country. Diplomas in Tourism and Bachelors in Art History, we are dedicated to disseminating the artistic, cultural and natural heritage of the entire territory and its network of most important public and private museums such as the Guggenheim Museum or the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum. We have extensive experience of 20 years in the field of tourism receiving public from more than 80 countries. We offer tours in Spanish, English, Basque, Italian and German. The last three in payment mode. Our tours are characterized by the depth of their information, they are exhaustive, well documented from a historical and cultural point of view and are aimed at an intellectually demanding public. Through our work we propose a series of initiatives for the care of the city, promoting the interaction of tourists with commerce and local culture. Tour description

MINI TREKKING TO MONTE ARTXANDA - ENJOY THE VIEWS AND NATURE WITHOUT LEAVING BILBAO.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR

The Basques love the mountains. For many there is no better plan than to put on their boots and walk up. With family, friends or alone. Bilbao and Euskadi do not understand each other without its mountains, its peaks and its valleys. With an abrupt and rugged nature like few others, its people and its cities have known how to adapt to it and have learned to enjoy and respect it. To understand Bilbao well you have to see it from above. We accompany you on foot to the top of Mount Artxanda. Starting from the Guggenheim we start an ascent that in a few minutes leaves the city behind to enter another Bilbao, the green lung of its mountains and hills.

After crossing the Puente de la Salve we start the ascent. Passing through different recreational areas we stop to enjoy the views and try to understand the urban fabric, as well as interpret the native forest areas. Thus, we reached the top of Mount Artxanda, where some surprise awaits us.

Descent by funicular, a means of transport that dates back to 1915 in Bilbao. Don't worry about the ticket, we take care of paying for it.

A perfect plan whether you come as a couple, alone or with your family.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

-We recommend that you bring comfortable and suitable walking shoes.

-If you want you can also bring a snack. Along the way we will find sources of drinking water where you can quench your thirst or fill your bottle.

-Max groups 15 pax. Because in addition to professionals some of us are also neighbors and we believe that the future of the neighborhood depends on taking care of it and respecting it. Because we do not want you to miss any of our explanations and because we believe that a close treatment will improve your experience during the tour.

-If you have a reusable bottle, we recommend that you take it with you. This will avoid the generation of waste from plastic bottles. In Bilbao there are more than 300 public sources with high quality drinking water that deserves to be valued.
