Tour description

The Plaza known as Zócalo is the great welcome door to Mexico City, specifically to the Historic Center, to know the Plaza is to know the past and present of Mexico. With this guruwalk you can have an introductory approach to the City and thus make decisions about your stay, the tour covers the pre-Hispanic, colonial, contemporary and current times. This is the itinerary: 1. Our guruwalk begins a few steps from the place where the inscription that gives its name to the Plaza de la Constitución, that is, the Zócalo, is located. 2. We will walk through the arcade of the City Hall building to reach the Plaza de la Fundación, a sculptural complex that reveals the mythical moment of the founding of Tenochtitlán in 1325. 3. We will observe the place where the monolith was found in 1790 known as Coatlicue, it almost coincides with the site where the monolith identified as Piedra del Sol, which is known as the Aztec Calendar, was also located. 4. A few steps forward we will have the experience of the Plaza, the Zócalo plate, under the flag. 5. We will approach the facade of the National Palace to see the Independence Bell. 6. We will visit the facade of the Cathedral and its atrium. 7. Later we will go to Plaza Manuel Gamio to learn about the plaque that Mexico City awards the recognition of being a World Heritage Site. 8. Then I will describe the models of the Great Tenochtiltán, (they are not available on Mondays). 9. Later we will observe from a distance from the viewpoint the vestiges of the Templo Mayor, the most important ritual site of the Mexicas. 10. We will end our tour by listening to questions, comments and offering recommendations. PS The guruwalk will be carried out with the use of wireless radio communication, with all certainty at all times you will listen to my explanation and comments. I will wear a microphone around your neck and you will wear a radio receiver around your neck with headphones, if possible, wear them; otherwise I will bring you some. At all times I will have antibacterial gel and I will use mouth covers.
