Hello! I am Rodrigo, originally from Buenos Aires, and living in Berlin for 2 years. Throughout my life I've also lived in Dublin, Ireland, Copenhagen, Denmark, and different parts of Norway (I have a passion for good weather...) I have been a tour guide for 7 years and across 3 cities (Buenos Aires, Copenhagen and Berlin, always in English) and I really enjoy what I do. I studied political science and journalism and I also write. I try and mix all three on my tours so I can tell you a story and make you feel as if you were actually watching it happen. I am enthusiastic, outgoing and love telling stories, anecdotes and sharing my knowledge of the city I live in. And I also like to have fun, so it is not all about history... ask what you want to know! Can do tours in English and Spanish, so get in touch in any of these 2 languages if you have any questions or want a tailor made tour.

About the Tour

All you need to know and see in 3 hours!

Learn the fascinating history of Germany's capital. From the construction of the Brandenburg gate to the fall of the wall: Imperial Berlin, World War I, the crazy golden 20's, the tragedy of Nazism, the allied occupation and how its division led to the Berlin wall and the divided city. Learn why "the history of the 20th century was written with the rubble of Berlin" and why today is one of the most liveable and vibrant cities on Earth.

On this tour we will see:

- The Brandenburg gate

- The memorial to the murder Jews of Europe

- The site of the former chancellery and Hitler's bunker

- A piece of the Berlin wall

- Checkpoint Charlie

- The book burning memorial

- The State Opera

Finishing on Unter den Linden, the Royal Boulevard, only 10 mins walking from the Brandenburg gate and 10 mins walking from Museum Island, right in the heart of the city.

Meeting point: Open in Google Maps

How to find me: By the entrance of the Academy of Arts (akademie der künste), in front of the Brandenburg Gate. I have a very recognisable moustache.

Rodrigo is the most knowledgeable, lovey tour guide I have ever come across and I’ve done walking tours around the world. Due to the pandemic it was just my friend and I and we told him we didn’t know much about the history. He told us in great detail everything about the history of Berlin but also the world, he’s a walking, talking encyclopedia. We got on so well that we even had lunch together at a place he recommended. Couldn’t recommend this tour more!!

El Tour con Rodrigo fue muy interesante. El conoce muy bien toda la historia y la cuenta de una forma muy dinámica y agradable. Incluso mi esposo que es alemán aprendío datos que no conocía.
