LOVE LOVE UMBRELLA was inspired by the analogy to the Japanese concept 相合 傘 (Ai-ai Kasa), which symbolizes the feeling of Sharing and Love between lovers who share an umbrella. Our project expresses this feeling of sharing experiences, in this case, with the tourists who visit ÁGUEDA - the City of Colored Umbrellas.
Been to Agueda? Come with us to get to know the city of colored umbrellas which is only 22 km from Aveiro! ITINERARY: In this free tour we will start at 10:30, the meeting point is in Rua Dr. Elísio Sucena 24, next to the Tourist Office of Águeda. Águeda is an industrial city formerly known as the land of bicycles. Since 2012 when it was known as the city of colored umbrellas due to the Agitágueda festivities. During the visit we will walk the most emblematic streets of the city while learning about their stories and the customs of their people and much more. During the visit we will visit several murals that are part of the Street of Urban Art, the City Church, the Chapel of S. Sebastião. The visit will last approximately 1.30 minutes and will end in Baixa da Cidade, near the starting point. * NOTE * Given the COVID situation this year 2020, THE UMBRELLAS WERE NOT PLACED DUE TO THE CURRENT HEALTH SITUATION. * COVID-19 MEASURES * • All participants must wear a mask (the client must bring their own mask) • The safety distance between participants will be maintained whenever possible • Alcoholic gel will be available at the beginning, during and at the end of the visit • No more than 10 people per group ** For a better organization and reception of our customers, we appreciate that the appointment is made at least 12 hours the day before.
