Hello, my name is Rui Gonçalves and I am 23 years old. At this moment, I am working a hotel, but I always loved history and as a exploring lover, I would like to share my knowledge with you, with some interesting facts and dark stories about the city where I live, Lisbon. Come and join me!
The best tour in town, where you will find some of the most terrifying stories in Lisbon and where they took place. You will also journey into the past to the dark times until the Renaissance ones. The tour will start in Praça Luís de Camões, next to the statue, where it will lead us, to Faculdade de Belas Artes, an interesting university. Afterwards the journey will take place in Rua Augusta, where we can see Convento do Carmo and where is the entrance to the Catacombs of Lisbon. Going a little further, we will see a very peculiar district, Alfama, where a lot of macabre events took place. Going up, we will arrive in São Vicente, to check a place where some witches' rituals happened. Our last point, it will be next to the Monastery of São Vicente.
In the middle of Praça Luís de Camões, next to the statue, I will be wearing a red t-shirt.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
