Hi I'm Diana and I want to welcome you to Washington, DC! I moved to Old Town Alexandria (once part of Washington, DC. - I can tell you all about it) in 1985. Since 1992 I've lived on land that was once part of George Washington's estate, Mount Vernon, located just 15 scenic miles down the Potomac River from DC. I was a tour guide in college and worked in hospitality before deciding to become a social worker. After a 30 year career, I retired in 2018 and couldn't think of anything I'd rather do than meet people from around the country and the world and share with them what makes Washington, DC such a unique, beautiful, and interesting city. I've been to 48 states and 25 countries, but DC is my favorite city - probably because I know so much about it and have so many personal experiences in and around the city, including attending receptions at the White House, witnessing a presidential inauguration, participating in marches, and having my father honored by being buried at Arlington National Cemetery. I look forward to getting to know you and enjoying our time together while sharing with you my knowledge, insights, and stories!
