Tour description

We will meet at the Petit Pont and I will tell you why: this bridge is the oldest in Paris and has witnessed many events from the Romans to today! We will continue our tour by entering the heart of the Latin Quarter to discover the most recent history of the district: the time of the Courtesans and the Musketeers. We will cross the narrowest and most dangerous street around 1600. Before reaching rue St Jacques, we will stop to admire the church of St Severin, nothing to envy to Notre Dame, especially because it tells us the story of the Franks, at the beginning of the Middle Ages, and that of the first ecclesiastical university colleges. We will continue with forgotten churches and architecture such as the church of San Giuliano, even the poor deserve our attention as it is the oldest and houses the oldest tree in Paris. That if I warn you from this point you have to prepare your camera because the view of Notre Dame from here is priceless! We continue on Rue St Jacques, on the hill of Santa Genoveva up to the Pantheon, the last uphill effort! The Pantheon is a notable example of the French neoclassical but also a witness to Lutetia, when Paris was Roman. We will walk through what was the ancient Roman forum! We conclude with an unexpected view of the Eiffel Tower and a well-deserved rest if you feel like it in a typical Parisian café (not included).
