On this guided tour we will tour the "OLTRARNO" neighborhood , one of the most Florentine and unknown neighborhoods in the historic center. OLTRARNO is the heart of Florentinity , it is full of trattorias, artisan workshops, beautiful and elegant buildings , as well as curiosities, intrigues, secrets and history

We will meet in PLAZA SANTA TRINITA, next to the Column of Justice. From this point we will enter the neighborhood, whose name means "on the other side of the Arno River."

We will walk through its narrow streets, discovering local legends. Stopping in front of the Blanca Capello Palace , you will live and be part of her intrigues, she is the lover of Francis I de Medici , second grand duke of the city.

Did you know that the “Gioconda” was Florentine? She is the protagonist of the most famous portrait in the world made by Leonardo da Vinci , we will see her birthplace . We will also visit the home of the mathematician Paolo dal Pozzo Toscanelli. His studies were very important for the design of the dome of Santa Maria della Flor by Brunelleschi.
