Hello, We are LOCAL team, a group of local people from all around Vietnam who speak fluently in English. We can be a Hmong ethnic woman living in Sapa, a tour guide living in Hoian, or an English teacher in Ho Chi Minh,… But the most important thing: we are passionate to show you the best spot in our city for culture, history, or food to know more about local life. An experience that I’ll share with you, you’ll share with me about our story and chat like a true friend, not like a tourist – tour guide, to make sure that you will have an authentic and deep experience in Vietnam. Tour description

Hi. We’re Hmong ethnic women who live in Sapa, and today we’ll trek to find authentic Sapa with beautiful terrace fields, diverse culture, and local life. (The tour includes 4 hours of trekking + approximately 2 hours for having lunch and taking a rest on the way. The tour starts from 9 AM to 3 PM)

PLEASE NOTE:

- The tour is only CONFIRMED when we can contact via WhatsApp. Please give us your WhatsApp number

- The terrace field will have different colors: yellow, green or brown depending on the local season.
- The time to start the tour is flexible if you want to do it earlier or later, juts let me know.
- This is a trekking tour through rice field/ jungle, so the road can be marshy, slippery.

There are some highlight destinations (itinerary):

Sapa town – Y linh Ho –  Lao Chai – Ta Van

  • At 9 am, we’ll leave lively Sapa town and start our journey. We also go pass beautiful Muong Hoa valley. Through the trail on small mountain, you will hear clearly the sound of nature: stream flowing or birds and, see Y Linh Ho, a small village where will be amazed by how spectacular rice terrace is. It seems like an endless rice terrace.
  • Then trek through the rice terraces and along Muong Hoa stream to the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai to see the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain. Black H’mong is one of the biggest minority groups in the Sapa area. They are proud of their culture and keep their traditions and way of living. They have their own language and wear traditional indigo-blue clothing. The H’mong peoples have just recently changed their living way from a sifting style into the sedentary one. So there are still a lot traces of the past time can be seen: rudimentary houses, stone wall around homes…
  • After that, we continue our journey to Ta Van village to visit Zay people. Zay is a fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam.
  • We’ll have lunch at Lao Chai or Ta Van village in the local restaurant (you can choose whatever you want and pay by yourself, vegetarian is available).
  • On our way, you can catch peaceful moment like see local people they are working on the rice terrace or dye fabric from nature colors, some kids they’re playing on the stream, river. And know more how ethnic minorities live, their daily life and our culture.
  • Around 3 pm: I'll help you arange taxi or local motorbike driver from Ta Van to take you back to Sapa town/ your hotel. (You'll pay by yourself: around 80000 dong for a motorbike or around 300000 for a taxi)

This is a very nice way to see the areas rice terraces and a small village. The tour was about 12km and mostly downhill on a dirt pathway that I would rate as a moderate hike. For us, it was pretty dry but if it rained recently it looks like it could be quite muddy and slippery. I thought it was a great way to be introduced to Sa Pa.

Sehr sehenswert!
