Hi, my name is Lucas, I am a tour guide since 2010, worked in more than 20 countries. Based in Bangkok - or Manila, Phnom Penh, Montréal, Kathmandu - I follow the current of the guiding ! I am doing those walking tour now, trying to share my knowledge with first time visitors. As I am doing this without salary, tip is well appreciated, Guru guidelines suggest min 10€ or 300 Bath. I can answer all questions and show you some hidden / out of the beaten path places. If you want to see and do tourist stuff like floating market, my walks are not for you. I like to show you the normal life that is going on here in Bangkok, while I will help you with local transportation and others places to visit. With me you are walking to see things of the daily life, to feel the vibe as the local way. If you just want to know about tourist stuff, its easy by your own. With me its more about to learn/walk as the Bangkonian style.

Tour description

Let's explore the hidden alleys in the heart of a city of 12 millions peoples !

From the old train station to the fascinating Talad Noi, we walk deep into the day to day life of its inhabitants.

The unmissable Wat Traimit (we won’t go inside) is first on our way, before starting the search for the unusual.

After the Chinatown gate, we will scout about some back street garnised with art and decorative enjolivement, to end up at the boat pier Si Phraya through some more hidden street corners.

It's a "street art" tour, we walk through small alleys to look at some littles shrines, to talk about daily life and to feel the Bangkonian vibe. This walk is for photography’s lovers. Talad Noi it’s a lively artist neighborhood visited by local, it’s not a touristy place.

Get your camera ready, cause here, life goes on...

Luc is really cool, well travelled, and knowledgeable about local life in Bangkok. He has a lot of good advice for traveling in the region. I think this tour could be improved even more if there was more information and analysis of the art. As of right now, the tour just walks pass the art without giving much context.

Loved the tour! The route was very interesting, the guru was able to answer to many our questions related to the city or the living in it, and the privided information helped to continue exploring the city on our own.

With this tour we got to see a side of Bangkok we never would have seen by ourselves. Luc was informative, friendly and entertaining on our tour that is a bit different to the other ones where you see the tourist spots. Thanks!
