Tour description

Jakarta's traffic is notorious. However, public transport have improved a lot in the last decade. The city even won Sustainable Transport Awads 2021 because of the improvement made by the government.

  • This tour starts at a train station built during the colonial time of the Dutch. We will take the commuter train to the center of the city where we will transfer to a bus stop to take the Transjakarta bus.
  • Transjakarta bus is the main public transport used by locals to the busiest area in Jakarta.
  • After that, we will make a transfer to an MRT station to experience the modern MRT train
  • We will finish our tour at a vibrant hang-out place in South Jakarta called M Bloc Space to end the tour with a traditional drink called Jamu.
  • Please prepare IDR50,000/USD 4/EUR 3 for the train, bus, and MRT. And another IDR50,000/USD 4/EUR 3 for the drink at the end of the tour. So, in total bring IDR100,000/USD 8/EUR 6 (per person) with you.

Central Jakarta

It was a fun experience and at the same time a very fruitful one. I am able to explore the city of Jakarta and simultaneously learning. Through this trip, I could experience the many perspectives of Jakartans and hopefully understanding more. Truly recommended if you are visiting or even if you have been living in Jakarta but haven’t explored the other areas.
