Viktor is vary knowledgeable and interesting guide who speaks excellent English. He told us about the history and culture of Dubrovnik, stressing the Rebulic of Ragusa's values of freedom, public service and working together. On the Lovrijenac fortress is inscribed in Latin "Freedom is not for sale, not even for all the riches of the world". He showed us not just the main historical sites but also out-of-the-way areas in the Old Town and told us about how things were in the time of his grandmother and of the war of 1991 which his father fought in. This is an in-depth tour of the history and cultural values of Dubrovnik through the ages. Viktor also emailed us tips and links for spending our time in Dubrovnik, including many links to the Game of Thrones scenes filmed in Dubrovnik. Highly recommended.
