Our tour was absolutely informative and fun. The little stories made up the tour. I loved them. Bridget is friendly and professional. Also loved the koeksuster on the side, that was delish. This tour is highly recommended.

Great tour with plenty of information about the realities of south african history and present sociopolitical trajectory with an authenticity hard to find anywhere else. If you want a tour with basic, cut and dry info about SA, Michael can do that; but if you want a more nuanced and compelling perspective of SA, Michael can also deliver that. Great tour and still digesting all that we learned/discussed!

Ylias is a local guide and his family has been living in bokaap area for generations. So, he is very qualified for guiding this tour. We had a good time me even met some of his family and friends.

Michael was an exceptional Guide who informed about the historic events in a very unique way @ offered a distinctive view towards Apartheid & the colonial history of South Africa! We can highly recommend the tour if you are interested in deep historical background info & getting to know a little more than the average tourist guided tour.

Really insightful tour from Michael who gave us a peek into his experience growing up and coming of age through major historical moments in South Africa, as well as some of the history from farther back. Even 5 hours wouldn't be enough to cover all of the information, but the tour placed things into context and made us hungry for more information and knowledge. Enjoyable to hear Michael's perspective with the backdrop of Cape Town.
