I have done dozens of walking tours in different parts of the world; this was one of the best. For five hours Erkan took us around Izmir, seeing things like the Ascensor, clock tower, bazaar, and Atatürk museum - but more importantly he is such a friendly, funny, and hospitable guide. He really enjoys guiding and getting to know the group; we stopped for lunch in a great spot for fish sandwiches and also stopped for coffee later on. Since admission to the Atatürk museum is free he took us through there as well, telling us about Atatürk. He even helped me find a specific souvenir I had been searching for for several days without success.

Erkan was a fun guide who showed us many interesting sights. He spent much time making sure we had rests and food. I would have liked a little bit more history, as the history of Izmir is very interesting. I enjoyed the visits to the Mosque, elevator, bazaar and clock tower. I would highly recommend Erkan as a guide.

I hope you mentioned more information regarding the history of the city rather than showing us around the shopping streets. Overall as a walking tour that lasted over 3 hours there was no interesting information about the city shared. Its nice you had lunch with us, but it also felt it was forced on us. Maybe some of us wanted to eat lunch else where. Also rather than having a long coffee break in the beginning it is better to have it in the middle. Most walking tours just give us quick stopover to pick up coffee when they are explaining something and people who want could go pick up coffee. Overall it was a very disappointing walking tour. And also very disappointing to see you set your price before the start of the tour via WhatsApp. 15€ is too much for this walking tour, even 10€ is too much. People can walk around the places on their own. The only good part was that it was a very small group of 5 people. Wouldn't really recommend unless you are unable to walk around a city in your own pace.
