Free tour of the Historical Center of Quetzaltenango (Xela)

David was super nice and professional. He showed us places we never would have gone into, sometimes because we couldn't even see them. He was asking if we were interested in different things and had other opportunities if not. He could also tell us a lot of interesting facts about mayan culture and asked if we could try/see different local foods. Highly recommend doing a tour with him!

David is a great guide and a local of Xela. He gave us a great tour and I would highly recommend.

David provided a lot of cultural information and history of Xela and its habitants. We spent 2.5 almost 3h in town and even walked up to the mirador to see the view. I had a wonderful time with David and can obly recommend getting the tour! :)

David provided great information that was both detailed and very interesting. It allowed me to have a better understanding of the history and culture of Xela. He showed us spots that I don’t think I would have found on my own in the short time I was in Xela. He periodically checked on us to make sure we were ok. His voice was a little low (for me), I had to lean in to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the tour and I’m glad I booked it! I left the tour feeling positive.
