Immerse yourself in Chefchaouen's Rich Culture

Mohamed was very nice but for a problem with wifi he was already engaged with another tour. He asked a friend-college of him to tour us promising he was a good guide. His friend was polite but not a good guide.

After arriving in Chefchaouen, we had a little bit of “Paris Syndrome” at the somewhat touristy nature of the town, but Mohammed truly turned that around. His tour took us through the quieter areas of the medina to some spots only a true local would know, allowing us to sample some of the best juice in town and some delicious treats from the community oven. The walk up to the waterfalls was a highlight as it showcases the “real” side of the town with the locals gathering to wash their carpets as they have done for hundreds of years. Mohammed’s English is exceptional, and as a local boy born and bred, his knowledge is warm, heartfelt, and filled with humour. We really cannot recommend his tour enough. Oh, and if, like me, your partner always complains about the quality of your photo-taking, ask Mohammed; he’s a “true professional”!
