I was met with warmth and hospitality and Nkuli and Thabo's passion for sharing the rich history and culture of their home was palpable. What set this guided walk apart was the personal touch and commitment to community upliftment. Nkuli's project in Kliptown, where proceeds from the tours support a daycare for local children, exemplifies this dedication. Witnessing firsthand the positive impact of tourism revenue on grassroots initiatives reinforced the importance of responsible travel.
Throughout the tour, safety was never a concern. Beyond the educational aspect, this guided walk through Soweto is a must-do for anyone seeking authentic cultural immersion and a deeper understanding of South Africa's complex history. Highly recommended!

Nkuli is absolutely awesome! We spent 4 hours with him, we asked him a million questions (poor him! ;) and he thoroughly replied to all of them with care and patience.
