Great to meet you, My name is Ben. My brother Peter, and I are founders of a Local Guide Team with our co-hosts Daniel, Emmei, Hani, and more in Ho Chi Minh City. We first discovered Saigon while studying at University after leaving our hometown in rural Vietnam. We immediately became fascinated by the city's unique blend of culture, history, and delicious cuisine. Our education focused on tourism, and I have extensive experience working as a local English-speaking tour guide for various companies. But, We finally decided it was time to bring our custom-tailored experiences to my guests, so we're starting this local experience. We are so grateful to our guests who have supported us by booking our experiences so that we can generate jobs for local guides from rural areas of Vietnam studying in Ho Chi Minh City. It is to help them earn money to make their parents feel less burdened financially and to have a tourism and English environment to practice during their studies at their tourism university. Why choose us? 1. Specialized: Knowledge, passion, and personal perspective 2. An experience like a local: Something guests can't find anywhere else 3. Connect: Warmly welcome guests, turning strangers into friends Thank you for stopping by, and we look forward to connecting with you more!
If Saigon is known for one thing, it's the fantastic food—and maybe its swarms of buzzing motorbikes if you are afraid of being behind scooters in this bustling city—this evening food walking tour with me when most of the street vendors open for business. You will taste cuisine from North, Central, and South Vietnam.
Get picked up at the meeting point, Huyen Sy Church, and then we leave the tourist area behind and walk to the local area. Start your food adventure in the non-tourist district.
I designed the tour with many dishes with small bites. You can order as much as you want, and if you feel full, you can skip some food stops on the tour. However, you can watch how vendors make the dishes and take pictures. Most of the food stops, and we will share meals to eat together.
